Brad Pitt made an unannounced visit to TIFF and walked the red carpet for the premier of 12 Years a Slave, a movie he both co-stared in and produced. Where as Brad Pitt was able to successfully pull this off, a source tell us that another individual also attempted to walk the red carpet unannounced but was intercepted and removed to the rear of the building for a private interview.
Back in the theater, the drama opened to rave reviews and already the buzzing of a best picture Oscar can be heard. The film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as a 19th century musician who is sold into slavery in the South after being kidnapped. Being unable to make the premier , we are only speculating, but we believe the plot then takes a twist where Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character then must fend off a bayou zombie horde with no weapon save for the bow from his violin. We are awaiting confirmation of the second half of that synopsis, but feel pretty good about the first.
The cast includes the aforementioned Chiwetel Ejiofor and Brad Pitt, but also has Michael Fassbender, Paul Giamatti, Alfre Woodard and Benedict Cumberbatch. If Chiwetel Ejiofor’s name sounds familiar it is most likely from one of our favorite movies, Serenity, among many other titles he has been in.
As for the individual that attempted to perform a Brad Pitt red carpet walk on, sources tell us that I should recover from the back alley beat down received with no permanent injuries.
